Topps, the revered name in the world of trading cards, has teamed up with the NCAA to launch an exclusive March Madness basketball card series. This much-anticipated collection offers packs containing eight cards each, priced at $139.99. The highlight of each pack is a guaranteed autograph card from a selection of standout players, adding an extra layer of excitement to the mix.
Among the prominent names featured in this series are the men’s Player of the Year, Zach Edey from Purdue, and the women’s Player of the Year, Caitlin Clark. Each pack not only includes the coveted autographed card but also features six base cards and one parallel card, which is numbered to 99 or fewer. Fans have until Thursday to get their hands on these limited-edition packs, which are exclusively available for purchase through Topps’ official website.
One in every ten packs will contain a special treat in the form of a dual autograph card, adding a unique touch to the collection. The carefully curated roster of 20 athletes featured in the Bowman U NOW March Madness series showcases a mix of talent from both the men’s and women’s sides of college basketball.
On the men’s roster, names like Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham from Kentucky, Tristen Newton and Stephon Castle from UConn, and many more grace the cards. For the women’s lineup, standout performers such as Cameron Brink from Stanford, Aaliyah Edwards from UConn, and Paige Bueckers from UConn add a dynamic flair to the series.
Notable dual autographs in the collection include combinations like Clark/Edey, Clark/Reese, Reese/Van Lith, and Sheppard/Dillingham, offering collectors a chance to own these unique pairings in their card collection.
Caitlin Clark’s appearance in the Topps card series will come to an end on April 1, as she gears up for an exclusive trading card agreement with Panini America. The collaboration between Topps and the NCAA not only celebrates the excitement of March Madness but also integrates the iconic tournament branding into the card designs, setting the stage for potential future joint ventures between the two entities.
This season has seen the release of over 120 Bowman U cards through the Topps NOW platform, with 61 cards specifically showcasing college basketball talents. Caitlin Clark, in particular, has been a standout feature on 13 different cards, solidifying her presence as one of the most sought-after college athletes in the collection. The addition of college players to the traditional Topps Bowman University line over the past two years has further enriched the collector’s experience and brought the vibrant energy of college sports to trading card enthusiasts.
